Pizza served at 5:30 pm. We have a group for the kiddos (siblings included) and group for adults that meet at the same time. Kiddos will do relationship building interventions together and work on their social skills while the adults work together to brainstorm what works and what doesn’t work with home life, schools, and community settings. We bring in guest speakers when there is a common interest and further information is desired.

This group is run by the Family Resources and Development Center in West Hartford. The group is for parents, other adult family members as well as caregivers who are in need of support due the unique demands of helping to raise children and/or adolescents with HFA or other developmental disorders that affect their social and emotional functioning and well being. Exploring Our Way is held on the first Sunday of each month (except July and August) from 10 am – noon for families raising a child with Autism. This program provides opportunities to enjoy family time at the museum in a safe, understanding environment, allows parents to network with one another, and will help families discover new resources. Museum Advanced Planning Picture Stories (MAPPS) are available. Admission is free.
