The group is based on the principle that being the parent of a child on the autism spectrum requires new perspectives and that in order to provide the best for your child, you must provide the best for yourself. The group is interactive and focuses on teaching parents the tolls and experiences that refresh, honor and uplift them in a positive and nurturing environment. The mission of this support group is to provide information and support to parents who have raised a child on the autism spectrum and are anticipating or working toward assisting him or her with the transitions to high school, college, adulthood and the appropriate level of maximum personal independence. Parents of younger children on the spectrum are welcome to attend. We are striving to create a community of caring parents that will locate or create the support these young adults need as they navigate adulthood. Dover, NH: Children’s Museum of NH Autism Partnership Program, Exploring Our Way @ Children's Museum of NH

Exploring Our Way is held on the first Sunday of each month (except July and August) from 10 am – noon for families raising a child with Autism. This program provides opportunities to enjoy family time at the museum in a safe, understanding environment, allows parents to network with one another, and will help families discover new resources.
